Open Form Fest
I participated in the festival by contributing a series of interactive art installations featuring old paintings of objects typically found in a market. These artworks were displayed directly in the market, where visitors and workers were invited to interact with them—drawing on them, altering them, or even destroying them. This act symbolized the government's treatment of the market and its people, transforming the artworks into a powerful, participatory statement. The project embodied the Open Form principle by allowing the audience to actively shape and redefine the works, making the art a reflection of collective experience and protest.
PROJECT INFO
It is a festival about the concept of Open Form, introduced by Polish architect and theorist Oskar Hansen in the late 1950s. The festival celebrates flexibility, user participation, and the dynamic interaction between art, architecture, and its audience. Unlike traditional "closed" forms that are static and self-contained, this festival highlights how Open Form encourages adaptability and views creative works as evolving processes shaped by the active engagement of their users. Through exhibitions, workshops, and interactive installations, the festival invites participants to explore the transformative potential of art and architecture in fostering dialogue and shared experiences.
